Event 04
The Saints Are Resurrected (First Resurrection)
- REVELATION 20:
- 4 "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
- 6 "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
JOHN 5:
- 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
- 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
- 1 THESSALONIANS 4:
- 16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"
- NOTE:
- Notice that the Saints, the blessed and holy, are the ones who take part in the first resurrection. The Saints are with Christ during the thousand years, so they will have to be resurrected at the beginning of the Millennium. Revelation 20:6
- People who have been beheaded, as a witness for Jesus, would certainly be dead but John saw them alive (they lived and reigned with Christ) during the Millennium. These people must be included in the first resurrection. Revelation 20:4 John saw them alive because they had been called back to life by Christ in the first resurrection. John 5:28,29
Place this event at the beginning of the Millennium.

REVELATION 20: 6 "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." Notice that the "second death" has no power over the Saints which are resurrected in the first resurrection. More about the second death in event 19.
