The Wicked Try To Hide

REVELATION 6:

    14 "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places."

    15 "And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;"

    16 "And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:"

    17 "For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"

2 THESSALONIANS 1:

    7 "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,"

    8 "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:"

LUKE 9:

    26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Fathers, and of the holy angels.

NOTE:

    It is evident that this happens at His coming because of phrases like: “hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne,” and “the great day of his wrath is come.” Revelation 6:16,17 The Lord comes at the beginning of the Millennium. (event 09)

    It is no wonder that the wicked want to hide because He is coming in “flaming fire”(in all His glory) and all His mighty angels with Him. 2 Thessalonians 1:7,8

    Examine the following Bible references which give some previous examples of the effects that heavenly glory has had on humans. The first reference tells of the effects of just one angel and the second is the description of God’s glory on Mount Sinai.

    1. MATTHEW 28:2-4 ..."countenance was like lightning" ... "keepers did shake, and became as dead men."

    2. EXODUS 24:16-17 ..."the sight of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire"...

    Place this event at the beginning of the Millennium.
