In the spring, summer, and early fall just about everyone knows if you look into darkening evening sky you might see little bats flying and darting all about trying to locate insects. Their large, thin ears are picking up returning echo sonar beeps that they make when flying. Almost inaudible to the human ear these little creatures with limited eyesight are able to maneuver expertly through tree limbs, light lines and in dark caves. Their whole life depends upon receiving their own signal back. Just imagine thousands of bats and each has his own signal or wave length. The sounds are also recognized by their babies that hang with hundreds of others together on the roof of a cave. Bat experts say that mother bats hang by their finger nails to have their babies then the baby hangs on tight while the mother turns upside down and hangs by her toenails in her normal way, and cuddles her baby with her wings. Then mother takes baby and off she fly's through the night to catch half her weight in insects, returning in early morning to the exact spot in her dark cave to sleep all day. Isn't that amazing? Did you know God has a special signal just for us? Its called the Holy Spirit and anytime we pray, that signal is recognized by our Creator.
