There are four different families of sea turtle that live and nest along the oceans and sea coasts of the United States. Many of these turtles travel thousands of miles only to return year after year to the same area of beach in Florida, Texas, Louisiana or other coastal states to lay their eggs. The mother turtle, that may weigh 350 pounds or more, waits until dark, then pulls her heavy body slowly up the beach above the high tide line and begins her work. With her back feet she digs a hole approximately 8 inches wide at the top and enlarges to a foot or so down to approximately 18 inches. There she deposits 80 to 100 white, ping-pong ball size eggs. Quickly she covers them up and packs the sand down with her heavy body so other animals won't find and eat them. Then back into the water for another year or two. When the babies hatch out and grow up, they too will return to this same beach to lay their eggs. How they travel thousands of miles and find their way back home without computers, we don't know. These are some of the mysteries my friend Jesus is going to show us when we walk together in the New Earth.
