We arrived safely home on Sunday evening after a wonderful trip. Both trip members and Belizeans found the trip quite meaningful and want thank you for all the ways you contributed to the trip, including prayers, donations, and comments on the blog. We look forward to seeing the trip's results once we all get to heaven.

Ben: We have certainly had an adventurous few days! The construction has progressed wonderfully, except that some of the wood that Mr. Ford wanted never came. However, we were able to adjust our plans and finish the project this evening. Every one of the people at the school has been extremely grateful for our work.

Progress and Fun Times
Jessica: Itís really amazing to be able to be back in my favorite place in the world. Iíve really missed it, and things are going great. Today was especially amazing because I feel like we got a pretty good amount of work done on our project and we got to relax and go to Crysto Ray to cool off (a lake with lots of waterfalls and trees to jump off of). We had some really tasty food today including fresh coconuts as a snack tonight.

First Few Days
We have arrived here in Belize safely and have been having a wonderful time. Other than loosing two bags, which arrived on Friday, our flights were uneventful. The weather has been cooperating well; although the temperatures have been hot, we have been able to continue working all morning. Every day, we have been able to go swimming in the afternoon and visit Cayo Twist to cool down. Although Cayo Twist will not be open after today until Thursday, we'll still be able to enjoy God's creation.

Ahh, Belizeóa land of dense jungle, sunny beaches, Mayan ruins, and the other wonders that Central America offers! Although these features are attractive, they are not the McDonald Road Youthís main incentive for spending February 27 through March 9 there; instead, the Youth want to share the Gospel with the Belizeans who have never heard it.
We are youth from McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church on a mission trip to Belize. Check this page regularly for updates on our adventure for the Lord!
