Look At The Birds

This anonymous submission answers a call to share about a special outdoor place that helps you reflect on God. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:26 (NIV).

“Where I live is my special place. I love the wooded area where trees are always giving you a different view. The woods are always changing with the seasons and changes made by the wind. When I look at the woods, I feel a peace that is gratifying.

“I like to start the day looking at the trees and listening to the birds as they start theirs with a song. When I hear their song, I think of what God said about birds and how He takes care of them and how much more important are we than the birds. It helps take the cares of the day away.

“Henry David Thoreau said, “I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees.”

“John Muir said, “…spend a week in the woods, wash your spirit clean.”
