The McDonald Road Church works very hard to support each ministry of our church body. As you know, Collegedale Academy is our K-12 educational and ministry partner; also known as a “constituent church.”
We support Adventist Education in a variety of ways at the McDonald Road Church. Our hope is that you are able to find the best educational opportunity for your family with the Collegedale Academy being a strong consideration.
Families and their students are welcome to visit each campus. Individualized tours and “shadow a peer” for a day are welcomed by appointment (contact information is at the end of this letter). As listed below there are group events for a wide range of ages to join together to learn what CA has to offer and how the school may be a good fit for your family.
Academy Day
Collegedale Academy invites all high school aged students to come see what it’s like to be a part of the CA family on Friday, January 17, 2020, from 9 am – 2 pm. This includes rising freshmen and all high school grade levels that will be new to CA. Academy Day showcases what it’s like to be a high school student at CA. Participants will get a glimpse of students demonstrating all aspects of life at CA – Spiritual Life, Academic Life, and Student Life. You’ll have the opportunity to experience our talented musical groups, witness class work with a project fair, be energized by our acrobatics team and much more. Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education Center (ages 3-5) Round-Up
CA invites you to attend our Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) Round-Up on February 6, 2020, from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. This event is for families with children ages 3-6*. Please Call 423.396.2122 to RSVP. Classes tend to fill up quickly so please make your plans now to ensure a place for your child. Part-time options are available for our ECEC students. *ECEC students must be 3 by 8/15/20 and Kindergarten students must be 5 by 8/15/20.
Middle School Move Up Day
All rising middle school aged students (current 5th – 7th graders) interested in learning more about CA life as a middle schooler for the 2020-21 school year are invited to join us for Move Up day April 29, 2020, from 11 am – 12 pm. Please call 423.396.3020 for more information.
Parent Night for new high school students (parent follow-up to Academy Day)
Collegedale Academy will be hosting a parent night for families with students that are new to the high school grade levels on March 4, 2020, at 5:30 pm in the CA auditorium. During this time parents will learn about spiritual, academic, and extracurricular opportunities at Collegedale Academy. All who attend the parent night event and apply to CA by that evening will have their student’s paid application fee credited for the 2020-21 school year.
