Local Volunteers & Food Needed

Maranatha is working with the Ooltewah Hispanic Adventist Church on building their new church facility on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, and you can help too. They are looking for volunteers to help with the building project as well as providing food for the volunteers.

“Volunteers will construct a 8,000 square ft new church building for the congregation. They will help with the wood framing, siding, roofing, window installation, and rough electrical and plumbing work,” according to Maranatha.

McDonald Road Church Member Janice Parker is helping to provide food for the workers each day. “You can come help with the food on-site or you can make food at home and drop it off,” she says. “You could even make it a family project by baking cookies together with the children and then dropping off the cookies so the workers could have them as a dessert for their meal. It all helps.”
Parker says they will be feeding three meals a day to about 50 people. is also thankful for the two gas stoves and two refrigerators that have already been donated.

The Maranatha project will begin on October 12 and continue until the church is completed. If you are interested in helping in any way on the jobsite, please call Pam Wilbur at 941.357.6496. If you would like to help with cooking, please call Janice Parker at 423.236.4142. You can also learn more about the project at https://maranatha.org/projects/tgid3066.
