Hope Twinkles

Help strings students fill needy food pantry! The “Hope Twinkles” play-a-thon is happening again this fall, on December 6 (note, this is a new date), from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Kids (and a few adults, too) of all ages and playing levels will be joining together throughout the day at Founders’ Hall at the Collegedale Commons.

We are raising money for the Samaritan Center’s food pantry. The Center has communicated that the need is up by 60% this year, and they are receiving fewer donations. Alison Menzmer, a 10th grader who plays violin and viola, is participating in this fundraiser. She has set up a GoFundMe page (https://www.gofundme.com/f/strings-students-fill-needy-food-pantry) where you can learn more about Hope Twinkles and how you can make a big difference!

After all, we are looking forward to a grand Thanksgiving feast. But what if you didn’t have a Thanksgiving feast to look forward to? What if you didn’t even know where tomorrow’s food would come from? Wouldn’t you be thankful for a food pantry whose mission was to help people just like you? Only, what if that food pantry didn’t have enough food to help everyone who needed help? If you are interested in coming and listening to a free concert, bring a lawn chair and mask, and we would love to see you at the Collegedale Commons on December 6!
